FUEL SURCHARGES For all future bookings as of
June 16, 2008, Regent Seven Seas Cruises will implement a $15.00 per person, per day fuel surcharge to all berths. All bookings under deposit prior to that date will be subject to the fuel surcharge currently on record. Regent Seven Seas Cruises will continue to monitor the fuel price situation, and will make adjustments to these cruise ship fuel surcharges as required.
NAFTA TAX
This surcharge applies to cruises terminating
in the U.S. or San Juan and are charges as follows:
-
$4.93 per person for cruises limited to US ports, Canada, Mexico, Bermuda or the Caribbean Islands
-
$12.50 per person for cruises visiting or beginning at a port outside of the above
Rates are subject to change at any time
ALASKA TAX
The cruise line is required by the state of Alaska to collect $50 per passenger from cruise ships that visit Alaska. Of that revenue, $4 pays for an Ocean Rangers environmental monitoring program. Another $5 per passenger goes directly to each of the first five ports visited. The rest goes into the general fund and is intended for cruise-ship-related infrastructure improvements. Juneau and Ketchikan opted out of receiving those state funds, and instead levy their own head taxes on top of the $50 state tax. They charge $8 and $7 per passenger, respectively.
