Since our first trip in 1999, the beauty of French Polynesia and the Paul Gauguin has repeatedly lured us back.  In 2002, we were certified to dive on the Paul Gauguin and have returned three subsequent times to dive and enjoy the pampering and outstanding scenery.  The Paul Gauguin is somehow magical and we love that you can use their equipment or bring your own and they will accommodate you.  It is so easy to go from your suite to the ship’s sports platform where the zodiacs are already loaded with your gear.  Then off to the dive site on the ship’s zodiac with some of the most beautiful island vistas you will ever see.  After your dive back to the ship, leave your gear, and up to your suite for a shower before lunch followed by an afternoon on shore. 

If you are not a certified diver they have beginning scuba or snorkeling.  Always wanted to become certified?  This is a great place to do so. The waters are warm with good visibility and some of the most caring and patient divemasters you can meet.
